7 Steps to Boost Your Credit Score and Improve Your Financial Standing

Building a good credit score is a crucial step towards financial stability, helping you secure loans, credit cards, and other financial benefits. It influences your mortgage rates, auto loan premiums, and even job opportunities. Conversely, a low credit score can limit your access to credit and increase your loan costs. If you're looking to raise or improve your credit score, there are steps you can take to improve it. In this blog post, we'll discuss seven steps to help boost your credit score. Review your credit report The first step to improving your credit score is to review your credit report. Obtaining a copy of your report from Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion every year is free of charge. Look for discrepancies or errors and dispute them. These errors can hurt your credit score, and it's essential to correct them early. Pay bills on time It's essential to pay all your bills, including credit card payments, loan installments, and utility bills, on time. Late paym

A Blog About Blogging -Someone Please Notice Me!

I've been spending some time joining social networks for Bloggers and checking out other blogs. One thing I've noticed is that a lot of people have a theme for their blog. The other thing that they have, that my blog doesn't have, is a header. I've seen so many pretty header images and catchy Blog titles. I'm wondering, "Is my blog missing something?" I chose not to use a header because I think it will clash with all the colors on my page and make everything look too busy. I chose not to stick to one theme because I have a million things to say and they come in a variety of different topics. I haven't been getting a lot of comments. So, I'm not sure if it has to do with the layout of my blog, or something else like that. I read somewhere online that for every 100 people that view your blog only 10 will comment. I can say that the social networks have paid off. Most of the comments that I received came from people who are members of those networks.

Proof that You Were NOT the Problem

Have you ever gone through a breakup where your former partner made you feel like you were the problem? You analyzed every interaction, replayed every conversation in your head, wondering where you went wrong. Yet you just can't figure it out. Well what if I told you that the proof that you were NOT the problem is in him STILL contacting you? If he's doing any of these things ladies, you were not the problem. 1. He's still trying for little "friendly" contact to keep the door open. If your ex-partner broke up with you and stills try for little friendly contact, like texting you about random things or liking your social media posts then he's still into you. He's trying to keep the door open and hoping that you will reciprocate his feelings. This may seem innocent, or cordial but he actually needs to respect your boundaries and let you go.  2. He's still watching your moves through social media. Social media is a great tool to know what's happening i

Selecting New Eyeglasses (It's Never a Bad Idea to Consider the Price)

I accidentally threw away my glasses one night, (that's so me, I had put them in a plastic bag with some snacks). That was over a year ago and I just recently took on the challenge of selecting and purchasing new eyeglasses . This is a challenge to me, because I always have a difficult time selecting the best glasses for my face shape and skin tone. Honestly, I hate the way I look in any glasses and if I didn't need prescription glasses in order to operate a vehicle, I would go without them. (I do not recommend that anyone else do that, and I'm sure my optometrist would scold me). In order to prevent myself from getting another ticket, I had to take on the task of finding some glasses that I would feel comfortable and confident in. This time around I did some online research on how to pick out the perfect glasses . I watched some videos, read some articles, figured out my face shape, and then forgot almost everything as soon as I walked into the optical shop and saw

Places in Philly: FDR Park A.K.A. The Lakes

If you're from South Philly, then you probably refer to FDR Park as, "The Lakes." This is the single, best park to go to in South Philadelphia. The playground is not that great, but there are lots of other exciting things to do. The park has wide open fields, and plenty of space to picnic or barbecue. FDR Park is located at 1500 Pattison Avenue in south Philadelphia, near the stadiums. The Park was designed in 1914 by the Olmstead Brothers. Park Features: Playground Skate Park Golf Club & Golf Course Tennis Courts Rugby Baseball and Softball fields Several Picnic Areas with benches American Swedish Historical Museum Other things you may enjoy: Fishing Bicycling Bird Watching Jogging In the above picture is The American Swedish Historical Museum. STOP Recycling Men: Here's Why You Deserve Better!

Have you ever found yourself in a relationship with a man who keeps revisiting his past, unable to detach from his old ways? Do you often feel like you're with someone who is not truly committed to growing and evolving themselves? If so, then it's time to put an end to it. Ladies, stop recycling men! Recycling is when you take an old, outdated thing, and make a new use of it. You deserve a man who is continually evolving and reinventing himself—a man who is letting go of his past, his soul ties, and his youthful mindset.  In this post, we'll explore why you deserve better and how to avoid the pitfalls of recycling men who are stuck in their old ways. You deserve a man who is ready and willing to create a completely new version of himself. Someone who is committed to shedding his old ways, letting go of soul ties, and breaking free from younger mentalities. Recycled men often come with baggage that prevents them from truly growing and evolving. And if you're with someone

Thursday Thoughts: Barbeque Bickering

"Discussion is an exchange of knowledge; an argument an exchange of ignorance ." ~ Robert Quillen It's July 2nd and my family still can't decide on the location of our annual 4th of July Family Barbeque. This happens every year, but this year it seems to be taking longer for everyone to just pull together. I don't think I need to say how frustrating that is. If they keep this up I may just take my children downtown and say forget it.

Dating After 40: Why You Deserve a Man Who's Done the Work

Women in their 40s should have a different outlook on dating than those in their younger years. As we age, our priorities should change. What once seemed like an exciting project or a new endeavor may now feel like a waste of time. We reach a point where we no longer have time for "projects." And that includes men who don't have their shit together. A man must be stable, both financially and emotionally. We've invested time and energy building ourselves up and we deserve a partner who has done the same.  Once you reach a certain age, you can no longer afford to invest your time and energy into someone who isn't on the same page as you.  You've spent years working on yourself and improving your life. You've invested time and money into your education, career, and personal growth. You've learned the importance of taking care of your physical and mental health. So why should you settle for a man who hasn't done the same? A man who has done the work is
