Throwback Thursdays: Teddy Ruxpin

Teddy Ruxpin, the talking Teddy Bear that included a cassette to put in his back. I thought this bear was amazing when I was little. I got him for Christmas and couldn't wait to put the tape in & watch him talk. He moved his mouth and blinked his eyes as he read you a story. That was one the best Christmas mornings I've ever had! If I remember correctly, it was Christmas of 1986 and our first Christmas in Oklahoma. I looked Teddy Ruxpin up online and they still make him! Check out this site: Teddy Ruxpin Store

Upcoming Review: CSN Stores

Look out for our upcoming review! I will be reviewing a product from CSN Stores. I have not yet decided which product I will review since there is so much to choose from. CSN Stores has 200+ online stores with a variety of items. I'm currently debating whether I should get a beautiful bedroom vanity for my daughter, or Bakeware. I'm thinking the Bakeware would be fun, because the girls really love helping out in kitchen. Just look at these beautiful vanities from CSN Stores: The only reason I might not go with the vanity is because I have my two daughters, plus my step-daughter. I would want them each to have their own, or have to get one big enough for them to share. Either way, this should be exciting, so check back later for the review!

Places in Philly: FDR Park A.K.A. The Lakes

If you're from South Philly, then you probably refer to FDR Park as, "The Lakes." This is the single, best park to go to in South Philadelphia. The playground is not that great, but there are lots of other exciting things to do. The park has wide open fields, and plenty of space to picnic or barbecue. FDR Park is located at 1500 Pattison Avenue in south Philadelphia, near the stadiums. The Park was designed in 1914 by the Olmstead Brothers. Park Features: Playground Skate Park Golf Club & Golf Course Tennis Courts Rugby Baseball and Softball fields Several Picnic Areas with benches American Swedish Historical Museum Other things you may enjoy: Fishing Bicycling Bird Watching Jogging In the above picture is The American Swedish Historical Museum. Places in Philly: Philips Steaks

Everyone hyped up Geno's to be the best place (in Philadelphia) that you can get a cheese steak from. They're wrong. I love Philip's ♥. There are two windows at Philip's. They get so many orders for steaks, that the window on the right, is for ordering cheese steaks (& a few other sandwiches). The window to the left is for ordering corny things that you can get anywhere. So you get your fries, nuggets and things like that from that window. When you order your steak, you don't hold the line up with unnecessary words. You say, "Can I have one, with & whiz." or just, "One, with, whiz and American." The first means you want one cheese steak with onions and cheese whiz. Obviously, the 2nd, is adding American cheese. Don't ask for peppers on your sandwich, they'll charge you for that. Instead ask for a wrapper, and take advantage of the free peppers they have sat out with the condiments. Philip's is located in south Philadelphia off
